Celtics vs. Nets: The best prop bets for Game 2
Game 2 of the first round playoff series between the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics is upon us. The Nets grabbed a 104-93 victory in Game 1 on Saturday, and will look to take a 2-0 advantage Tuesday night.
We’ve got a string of team and player prop bets on tap for the game. Let’s take a look!
First half money line
The Nets have won five straight game against the Celtics dating back to December, but the past few games reveal a fun trend. Boston led by six at the half Saturday, held a four-point edge after the first quarter on April 23, and led by six after the first stanza on March 11.
The Nets have a history of starting slow against Boston, and while they’ve proven to be a superior team this season, +230 on the Celtics leading at the half is too enticing for me to pass up. If the moneyline is too out there for you, the Celtics are -104 at +5 and -113 at +5.5, and neither of those hit me as bad bets.
Pick: Celtics (+230)
James Harden Over/Under 1.5 made 3-pointers
This seems too easy. James Harden hasn’t attempted quite as many deep shots with Brooklyn as he did earlier in his career, but he still averaged nearly three three-pointers per game in 36 contests with the Nets this year.
The Beard took care of business in his Nets playoff debut.

1.5 seems way too low, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this line moved at some point. If this is one you like, get in quickly.
Pick: Over 1.5 (-200)
Blake Griffin Over/Under 0.5 made 3-pointers
Griffin has played a valuable role for the Nets this season, averaging 21 minutes per game. However, there are a lot of mouths to feed in this offense, and he scored just a single point in 20 minutes of work Saturday. He’s a good outside shooter (especially for someone his size), but at this price, I’ll gamble Griffin either stays cold or defers to his teammates.
Pick: Under 0.5 (+142)
Evan Fournier Over/Under 15.5 points
This is a case of a good player associated with a total that seems too high. Fournier was acquired by Boston in late-March, and has assumed a prominent role in the rotation. However, he’s been "feast or famine" against Brooklyn this year.

He did have 31 points against the Nets in March while with the Magic, but he’s averaged less than seven points per game in his other three games against that squad (even with a 10-point stat line Saturday). My thinking is that he’ll once again be held in check here, and if he is, I’ll cash a ticket.
Pick: Under 15.5 (-113)
