UFC Fight Night: Oleinik vs. Spivak betting odds, preview, and pick
Aleksei Oleinik is trying to earn a landmark 60th win, but Sergey Spivak doesn’t intend to be on the wrong side of history. Their historic heavyweight clash serves as the co-feature of UFC Fight Night on Saturday, June 19, and we have the betting odds and pick you need ahead of their brawl.
Spivak is not a consistent performer
After a disastrous promotional debut against Walt Harris and a boring decision loss to Marcin Tybura, Spivak got back in the win colum. Spivak last fought in February, where he stopped Jared Vanderaa in the second round via ground-and-pound.
Spivak is often seen as inconsistent, but his passive offense takes a different turn when he can wrestle his opponents to the mat. Half of his wins have come by submission, and he's often relied on armbars and kimuras to close up shop.

Oleinik is well past his prime
To say Oleinik has been around a while is an understatement, as the aged grappler is looking to score his 60th career win. But if his recent loss against Chris Daukaus is indicative of anything, he’s going to have to give it all he’s got.
Oleinik is extremely dangerous on the ground, but he telegraphs his offense and lacks striking power. There hasn’t been a style or opponent he hasn’t seen during his long tenure, but there may not be a lot of big wins left in him. His best chance to win is to defend himself until a takedown opportunity presents itself.
Spivak will stop the veteran in the first
Spivak may seem like an easy mark for Oleinik, especially because he may foolishly play into the veteran's hands and take him down. While that could be the case, Oleinik just doesn’t have enough gas left in the tank and doesn’t have the qualities to exploit Spivak's deficiencies.
The younger fighter should feel his confidence peak when he realizes that Oleinik can’t hurt him. Because Oleinik’s only real avenue for victory here is on the ground, Spivak needs to utilize his power and youth to blast him out.
Expect the younger fighter to put down his faded, veteran opponent via strikes in the first round.
