UFC 267: Blachowicz vs. Teixeira betting odds, preview, and pick
Jan Blachowicz and Glover Teixeira will face off for the light heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 267 on Oct. 30 in Abu Dhabi. Blachowicz will try to continue his reign of terror and defeat another notable foe, but Teixeira isn’t going to let his last shot at a title go up in flames.
We have the betting odds and pick you need ahead of fight night.
Blachowicz must tread carefully and hit hard
Polish power is all the rage as Blachowicz continues one of the best runs of his career. Blachowicz is coming off his one-sided victory over pound-for-pound king Israel Adesanya at UFC 259, and is going right into another tough opponent in Teixeira.
Blachowicz hasn’t been a betting favorite in over two years, so even with a title, he fights like a man with something to prove. The champ is patient and cunning and makes his offensive spots count.

This is Teixeira’s last shot at glory
Teixeira is making his second appearance in a title fight after he was thumped by Jon Jones seven years ago. It has been a steady climb back to title contention, and he hopes to become the oldest fighter to ever win the light heavyweight title.
The veteran is intelligent and resourceful, holding the division record for stoppages and submissions. Teixeira hasn’t lost a fight in three years, and hopes that this presumably last shot at a title will pay off.
Blachowicz will narrowly defeat Teixeira
Adesanya couldn’t trouble Blachowicz due to his size, but Teixeira can hang in there with him and is more than willing to grapple. What Blachowicz has is an advantage in striking power, and by keeping the fight standing, he'll control the outcome.
As good as they’ve both looked in recent fights, Blachowicz has been getting it done against better opposition. What the champ does extremely well is set a pace and controls the tempo. Teixeira may be crafty, but he'll be in a bad spot if he can't take Blachowicz down.
Blachowicz's tools and recent momentum makes him the right pick here. He should be in for a competitive opening, but by the midpoint of the fight, he’ll begin to control the action and test Teixeira’s chin with some big shots. Expect the champion to retain his title by decision, but a late knockout for Blachowicz wouldn’t be the least bit surprising.
UFC 267 pick: Blachowicz
