How To Make Money On UFC Fight Night 147 Odds
Value hunting is the name of the game at UFC Fight Night 147.
Till-Masvidal is the main event as the biggest promotion in fighting goes overseas to the famous O2 Arena in London for a card that's...well...a little bit forgettable. Given that it's an insanely busy weekend in NCAA basketball, it's easy to overlook a money making opportunity like this one. Check out the UFC Fight Night 117 odds and enjoy a good ol' Saturday afternoon of people punching each other in the face.Darren Till -230 over Jorge Masvidal +185
The oddsmakers have sunk you in to a bad spot here with the main event. Masvidal at +185 seems teeming with value, except that he's nowhere close to Darren Till's level. The previously undefeated Till is coming off his lone career defeat at the hands of Tyron Woodley, and is still one of the best in an otherwise shallow welterweight division. This has all the makings of a stressful bet on a favorite. It should go the distance (so the OVER might be the best bet overall) and Till is going to take a lot of leverage to make him profitable at -230. It's your choice, but anything can happen in a long fight and Masvidal is still elite no matter what I think of him. A small flier you can swallow on Masvidal might be worth it, but Till is as good as the UFC Fight Night 147 odds suggest here.Gunnar Nelson +115 over Leon Edwards -140
When Leon Edwards bested Donald Cerrone, it was at a weird time in Cowboy's life. Prior to that, Edwards has beaten literally nobody of worth, and his most recent loss was to current welterweight title holder, and devourer of champions, Kamaru Usman. The win over Cowboy has propelled Edwards' UFC Fight Night 147 odds, but this bout is more even that either number suggests. So the value play is on Nelson, who owns a victory over Alex Oliveira from December 2018. Nelson is a grappling specalist, who can take down Edwards at will, and then rope him in to a submission. He has 13 submission victories out of 17 total wins against just three losses. Edwards will be looking for the knockout, while Nelson will time the shoot perfectly and end this one on the ground.Volkom Oezdemir +195 over Dominick Reyes -250
Yeah, we're value hunting here with this pick but that's the way the fight game goes. The 29-year old Reyes is an undefeated, knockout machine who last defeated Ovince Saint Preux via decision. And that's sort of the problem. Reyes has made a living off of decimating low tier, no name opponents. Oezdemir is coming off a two-loss streak to Daniel Cormier (a future Hall of Famer) and Anthony Smith (who just went the distance with Jon Jones). There's no doubt in my mind that Oezdmir can trade with Reyes, and there's nothing in the favorite's record that would ironclad his case as a -250 favorite. Oezdemir is worth the risk.To view the rest of the UFC Fight Night 147 betting board, visit our New Jersey facing sportsbook!
