White Sox vs. Blue Jays: The best player prop bets for Aug. 25
The young and energetic Toronto Blue Jays (65-59) will try to maintain their Canadian home field advantage against the Chicago White Sox (73-54) tonight. The Jays, who started the season playing their home games in Dunedin, FL and Buffalo, NY due to COVID-19 restrictions, have produced a 10-6 record at the Rogers Centre so far this season.
Robbie Ray (9-5, 2.79 ERA) gets the start for the Jays, while Lucas Giolito (9-9, 3.77 ERA) takes the mound for the Sox. First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET, and we have the three best player props to wager on below.
ROBBIE RAY: PITCHER TO RECORD THE WIN
Robbie Ray has been exceeding expectations this season as he maintains the lowest ERA amongst Jays starters. He's also been extremely dependable of late. In Ray’s last three outings he’s averaged 7.0 innings, and has produced 24 strikeouts and given up just three earned runs. Furthermore, this is Ray’s first matchup against the White Sox this season, who as a club have had very few at-bats against him since he spent six years in Arizona before joining Toronto in 2020. Limited familiarity is an advantage for the pitcher as batters generally need a few live at-bats to figure out their tendencies.

We’re looking for Ray to continue his recent run of pitching deep into the game and expect him to stifle a potent White Sox lineup that will largely be seeing him for the first time.
PICK: RAY TO RECORD THE WIN (+160)
BO BICHETTE: OVER/UNDER 0.5 Runs Scored
23-year-old shortstop Bo Bichette has been enjoying a breakout season this year with his bat and his glove. The All-Star infielder has done a fine job of being the catalyst the Jays need, as he’s batting .285 with a .335 on-base-percentage, while amassing 92 runs.
On the other side of the matchup, Lucas Giolito hasn’t been at the top of his game this season. He’s already given up 25 home runs, which is just two behind his career high of 27 back in 2019.
Expect Bichette to get the better of Giolito tonight, and to score one run or more.
PICK: BICHETTE OVER 0.5 Runs (-113)
LOURDES GURRIEL JR: OVER/UNDER 0.5 RBIs
It’s no secret that Lourdes Gurriel Jr. has been red-hot lately. Batting over .400 with an OPS of .944 over the last seven days, Gurriel has been the spark that the Jays have needed during Vlad Guerrero Jr.’s recent slump.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is 15/47 in August with 3 HR, 10 RBI and 8 strikeouts to 4 walks.

His OPS by month:
April .572
May .678
June .873
July .683
August .925 (entering today)
Gurriel is 3-for-7 this series against the Sox, and picked up an RBI in last night’s contest. Look for him to continue to stay hot and drive in at least one run this evening while getting great value with some generous odds.
PICK: GURRIEL JR. OVER 0.5 RBIS (+195)
