Walker Buehler and the Dodgers' bullpen should prove difficult for the Phillies to figure out Tuesday night at Citizens Bank Park.

Buehler had allowed one earned run or fewer in four consecutive road efforts prior to a seven-run debacle at Coors Field on June 27. He typically pitches deep into games for L.A. and is averaging more than 6 2/3 innings per start in his last 11 outings. Buehler's bullpen, led by closer Kenley Jansen, has a 3.43 ERA over the last 30 days, the fifth-best mark in baseball. The Phillies' offense has averaged just 2.5 runs per game since the All-Star break.

Vince Velasquez's ERA in his last four starts is 5.94, and The Dodgers have done well historically against him. Right fielder Cody Bellinger, left fielder Joc Pederson and third baseman Justin Turner have tallied seven combined hits off Velazquez in just 18 at-bats. First baseman David Freese, who went 3-for-11 over the weekend in his first action since June 20, has two home runs off Velazquez in just seven at-bats. Philadelphia's league-worst bullpen by ERA over the last 30 days (6.93) cannot be counted on to clean up any mess their starter may leave behind.

Marco Gonzales and the Mariners are appealing underdogs against Daniel Mengden and the A's on Tuesday night.

Gonzales' road splits stand out. He is 5-3 with a 3.07 ERA in 10 starts away from home this season and has produced a 2.57 ERA in his last six starts, two of which occurred against Oakland (three earned runs allowed in 15 innings of work). The A's are 17th in runs per game at home this season (4.68).

Seattle's lineup has had limited chances against Mengden so far but have done well. J.P. Crawford, Dee Gordon, Omar Narvaez and Domingo Santana are a combined 11-for-19 (.579) off the mustachioed righty, with two home runs. Oakland's relievers have been among the best units in baseball over the last 30 days (2.09 ERA), so bail out with the M's after five frames.
