MLB Tuesday Preview: Phillies at Mets, Mariners at Padres

The clubs are tied for fifth in OBP at .345. Third baseman Maikel Franco leads the club in home runs (six) and RBIs (18), but right fielder Bryce Harper still boasts a 1.077 OPS. Philadelphia will face Zack Wheeler, who has struggled mightily in several departments this year, including strikeout/walk ratio (1.57).
The Mets are led on offense by phenomenal rookie first baseman Pete Alonso (1.344 OPS) and right fielder Michael Conforto (1.166 OPS). Their lineup will do battle with Zach Eflin, who's 2-3 with a 5.25 ERA in his last seven starts (36 innings) against the Mets.
These relievers are prone to adding gasoline to the fire, as the Phillies are 14th in bullpen ERA (3.97), while the Mets are 27th (5.27).

Swanson's first start came against the Indians Wednesday, and he pitched six innings of one-run baseball, surrendering just two hits and no walks. Despite the presence of third baseman Manny Machado and shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr., San Diego is just 27th in runs per game at 3.35.
Margevicius was roughed up a bit by the Rockies last week, but he sports a spiffy .900 WHIP through his first four starts. The Mariners are still first in runs per game from a very hot start, but they've notched a pedestrian 4.5 runs per game in their last 10 contests, where they're 3-7.
