MLB Monday Preview: Diamondbacks at Pirates, Yankees at Angels

Joe Musgrove has been a revelation for the Pirates this season, allowing just two earned runs in his first three starts (20 1/3 innings). He's has a 0.761 WHIP, sports a 5.25 strikeout/walk ratio, and has yet to allow a home run. Arizona's Zack Godley has an ERA above six, with a 1.391 WHIP and 2.00 SO/W ratio. He's allowed four home runs in his first four starts of 2019.
Backing Musgrove is Pittsburgh's sixth-best bullpen by ERA (3.34), led by closer Felipe Vasquez (6-for-6 in save opportunities), who has yet to surrender an earned run through 10 2/3 innings. The D-backs' bullpen is 25th by ERA at 4.99.
The Pirates have little in the way of reliable offense, aside from first baseman Josh Bell (.976 OPS), but they've gotten timely contributions from their role players during a 5-1 run over their last six contests.

Happ has a batting average against of .316 through four starts this year, has made it to the sixth inning just once, and has served up six home runs. Mike Trout, Albert Pujols and Johnathan Lucroy are a combined 22-for-75 (.293) against Happ all-time.
Harvey has also been sent packing before the sixth inning in three of his first four starts. His batting average against is .333, and the one-time strikeout machine has fanned just 14 batters this year while walking eight.
