MLB Friday Preview: Marlins at Mets, Braves at Diamondbacks
Miami Marlins (10-27) at New York Mets (17-20), 7:10 p.m. ET
Pablo Lopez (2-4, 4.03 ERA) (MIA) +155 / +1.5 runs (-160) / Over seven runs (-115) Zack Wheeler (2-2, 4.64 ERA) (NYM) -170 / -1.5 runs (+135) / Under seven runs (-105)Two sagging offenses meet at Citi Field on Friday night as the Marlins kick off a three-game series with the Mets. Pablo Lopez has recovered from a shaky start to the season for Miami, allowing just four earned runs in his last three starts (18 innings). His WHIP on the year is a spiffy 1.079, and he faces a New York offense that has plated three or fewer runs in seven of their last eight contests.
However, Lopez has received minimal run support this year. In fact, his club was shut out in three of his last six starts, producing just five runs in total. Zack Wheeler will be on the mound for the Mets in this one, and he was 3-1 with a 1.29 ERA in four starts against the Marlins last season.

Atlanta Braves (18-20) at Arizona Diamondbacks (22-16), 9:40 p.m. ET
Julio Teheran (2-4, 4.63 ERA) (ATL) +125 / +1.5 runs (-180) / Over 8.5 runs (-115) Zack Greinke (5-1, 3.42 ERA) (ARZ) -135 / -1.5 runs (+150) / Under 8.5 runs (-105)In Colorado on Sunday, the Diamondbacks lost for just the second time all season with Zack Greinke on the mound; both club and pitcher will try to get back in the win column against the Braves at Chase Field on Friday night. Greinke, who’s pitched to a 0.960 WHIP in 2019, owns phenomenal numbers against most of Atlanta’s best hitters.
Freddie Freeman is just 4-for-27 lifetime against Arizona’s ace, while Ozzie Albies and Ronald Acuna Jr. are a combined 1-for-12. Julio Teheran counters for the Braves in this one. He spun six innings of scoreless ball against the Marlins on Sunday, but the D-backs offense packs much more of a punch, ranking eighth in the majors at 5.18 runs per game.
