After an unscheduled off day, the Astros and Yankees are set to resume the American League Championship Series on Thursday night in the Bronx. Game 4 features a rematch of Game 1's starting pitchers, Houston's Zack Greinke and New York's Masahiro Tanaka. The Bombers won that tilt 7-0 before they ceded the next two contests.
Greinke will need to recover from his shaky Saturday effort, in which he allowed three earned runs on seven hits. There's a decent chance he will, based on his superior road splits during the regular season. Greinke was 10-4 with a 2.64 ERA and .211 opponent batting average in 18 starts as the visitor.

"The only damage (the Yankees) did were the home runs, which this team—it's one of their strengths," Astros manager A.J. Hinch said Wednesday. The Yankees got Game 1 home runs from the red-hot Gleyber Torres and Giancarlo Stanton, who is dealing with yet another injury and missed Games 2 and 3.
Astros relievers have clamped down since a subpar start to the ALCS and have allowed just one earned run over their last 6 1/3 innings. They should hold up their end of the bargain again Thursday.
Tanaka has been solid in his first two postseason starts, with just one earned run allowed in 11 innings. He one-hit Houston through six frames in Game 1, then turned things over to New York's reliable bullpen, which got a much-needed day of rest ahead of Game 4. The Astros are hitting a paltry .173 through three games.

He broke a tie with Sandy Koufax (6) after tonight's start -- and did so against an Astros team that was held to 2 runs or less just 33 times all year.
"If we're going to win this series, our bullpen will still play a huge role, obviously, but we've got to be able to get a little bit of distance out of our starters ... in these next several games," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday.
Pitching has had the upper hand in the first three games of the ALCS, and Under bettors have cashed each time. Expect the trend to continue Thursday night.
