Dustin Johnson will rock out at Rocket Mortgage Classic
The Detroit Golf Club welcomes the Rocket Mortgage Classic (formerly the Quicken Loans National) this week. The origination of this golf tournament was back in 2007 (AT&T National) and eventually the nationwide mortgage lender Quicken Loans not only re-branded itself, but also the tournament name and eventual location in Detroit Rock City.
And then there's Dustin Johnson (+550), the bomber who has yet to impress us like he's done years past. If Bradley Cooper can carry a tune, maybe DJ will be a reborn star this week.
And then there's the orchestrator of the block party. When Country meets Motown, Nashville's Brandt Snedeker (+3300) has made himself a fan favorite. Snedeker showed up to co-lead a Detroit-based kids' golf clinic Monday night. I've played enough golf to know that altruism is definitely worth a couple shots a side. Look for Brandt to purvey plenty of smiles this week.

Who will be in position to feel uptight on Saturday night?
This year's U.S. Open champion, Gary Woodland (+1600), is fresh off his recent respite and ready to rev it back up this week. Woodland has additional motivation from his No. 1 fan Amy Bockerstette. Hopefully Amy doesn't have to give him another short-game lesson, like she did in Phoenix (if you haven't seen the heartwarming video, you're one of the few). As Woodland says, she's "awesome," but will he be this week? Absolutely. And then there's Dustin Johnson (+550), the bomber who has yet to impress us like he's done years past. Sponsorship has to help, right?
The face of Rocket Mortgage is the loveable Rickie Fowler (+1150). Will that help his chances to win his first tournament since February's Phoenix Open? If you hear your song, it will pull you through, comes on strong, and tells you what to do. So get up Rickie, and move your feet, otherwise, everybody is going to leave their seat.If it's 9 o'clock and the radio's the only light
Time to empty out the rust-laden middle console of your '76 Pinto, and lay the lead on Chez Reavie (+2500). Not only did he cruise to a four-shot win at last week's Travelers Championship, but he also exemplified a blue-collar grit that will be a necessity at this week's Rocket Mortgage Classic. And then there's the orchestrator of the block party. When the rubber meets the road
My pink slip will be riding in Dustin Johnson's glove box this week. As the checkered flag waves on Sunday, DJ will have dusted the field using a rocket boost to snag his 21st PGA Tour victory.RAYMOND: PGA Tour returns to Michigan for Rocket Mortgage Classic
