Formula 1 heads to Canada on Sunday for the Canadian Grand Prix. Here is a look at the top five betting choices.
Lewis Hamilton
Hamilton is seeking his third straight win. After he fought Sebastian Vettel tooth and nail for the Formula 1 championship last year, Hamilton has won four of the six races in 2019. Hamilton could only finish fifth at the 2018 Canadian Grand Prix, though, so the chalk might be vulnerable.
Valtteri Bottas
While Hamilton has been dominant, with four wins, Bottas has won the other two races. Valtteri won the Australian Grand Prix, the first F1 race of the year, and the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. A couple of weeks ago in Monaco, he finished third behind Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel. Botas finished second behind Vettel in this race in 2018. Because he drives a faster car this year, and has already had success, he's a great choice to take the trophy Sunday.
Sebastian Vettel
Vettel did well in 2018, but his 2019 hasn't been all that great. The defending Canadian Grand Prix winner finished third in Azerbaijan, fourth in Spain and then second in Monaco. If Vettel can get off to a strong start, he can hold off the two drivers favored ahead of him.
Charles Leclerc
Lecerc has yet to get it going this year, and while he finished fifth in Spain, Hamilton beat him by more than 13 seconds. Leclerc had to retire in Monaco on May 26.
Max Verstappen
Verstappen finished third at the 2018 Canadian Grand Prix. Red Bull's top driver had a good run in Monaco and finished fourth behind Hamilton, Vettel and Bottas. He'll have to improve to beat the drivers offering lower odds.
