Thursday College Football Week 10 Picks
The #9 UCF Knights are finally in the Top-10 by default after so many highly-ranked squads failed in Week 9. That's just in the AP polls. The College Football Playoff Rankings has UCF ranked at No. 12 with the national discussion revolving around whether or not they actually deserve consideration for a high calibre post season game. For the Selection Committee to even consider the Knights, Michigan, Oklahoma, Georgia, LSU, and Ohio State must all lose at least one more time. To keep things rolling, the Knights have to continue cresting upwards as a team worth backing against a double digit line in College Football Week 10 picks.
Let’s get to analysis of Central Florida versus Temple, Arizona versus Colorado, and the rest of Thursday’s action.
Thursday, Nov. 1
Northern Illinois Huskies -6.5 at Akron Zips
Since starting the season 1-3 SU, the Huskies have gone 3-1 straight up in their last 4. They’ve also covered in all 4 while holding teams to 23 points or less. Northern Illinois upset BYU 7-6 on the road in their last. The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 between these two. Sure looks like a Huskies’ win and cover.
College Football Week 10 Picks: Northern Illinois -6.5
Ohio Bobcats -1 at Western Michigan Broncos
The Bobcats' only loss in their last 4 was 21-24 to Northern Illinois. But, Ohio is 0-4 ATS in their last 4 at Western Michigan. That could change on Thursday night because Western Michigan’s 3-6 ATS and 1-3 against the spread at home. This will be a tight one, but Ohio is worth taking on a pick 'em line.
College Football Week 10 Picks: Ohio -1
Temple Owls at #9 Central Florida Knights -10.5
Most of us knew that Central Florida wouldn’t miss a beat after they hired Josh Heupel to take over for the departed Scott Frost. Huepel’s got the Knights playing better this season than they were last season. Not only are they undefeated straight up, they’re also 5-2 ATS. But, Temple’s gone 22-5 ATS in their last 27 conference games. I can’t look past that strong trend. UCF will get the win, but Temple is a good pick with the points.
