SEC Week 13 picks: Alabama vs. LSU & 3 more
The SEC heads toward its final weeks with several interesting scenarios in play for its top teams.
Alabama is a clear No, 1, but Texas A&M and Florida are both one-loss contenders just outside the top four spots in the rankings. The way each performs to close out the year will play heavily into the consideration of the College Football Playoff committee.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at some of the most intriguing games from Week 14’s SEC schedule.
#1 Alabama vs. LSU
The top-ranked team in the land will head to Louisiana to face the defending national champs. Sounds good, right? The reality is a bit bleaker.
Alabama has an 8-0 record (6-2 against the spread), is best in most power rankings, and will face a rebuilding yet checked-out LSU squad (3-4 overall, 4-3 ATS).
After it struggled on defense early in the season, the Crimson Tide has turned it around. Alabama has allowed just 16 points in its last three games combined. The offense, meanwhile, has chugged along with power and precision. Alabama's 48.5 points per game ranks third in the country and is the best average of of any Power Five team.

The Tigers will compete with yet another defection to the roster, as star wide receiver Terrace Marshall will opt out for the remainder of the season to focus on the NFL. The Tigers covered late against Texas A&M, but they were benign on offense last week and have been almost all season, because of ineffective options at quarterback.
Alabama will have no problem beating up on its hapless opponent, and the Tide offense is almost certain to surpass 40 points yet again.
Pick: Alabama -28.5
#6 Florida vs. Tennessee
Tennessee fans surely yearn for days gone by, when the Volunteers weren’t double-digit home underdogs against the rival Gators.
Florida is scoring 43.7 points per game, while Tennessee ranks 108th in the country, at 20.8 per game.
The Gators know they must win out impressively to be considered for the College Football Playoff. Tennessee is just 2-5 and has only covered one of the last six meetings in Knoxville against Florida.
Pick: Florida -17
Arkansas vs. Missouri
Both Arkansas and Missouri have been better than expected this year. The Razorbacks are 6-2 ATS, while MIssouri is 5-2 ATS.
The Tigers, however, have not looked as good offensively against tougher SEC competition.

Veteran quarterback Feleipe Franks has been good for the Razorbacks. He has completed 68% of his passes, with 17 touchdown passes and just four interceptions.
Arkansas sat multiple players in a narrow loss to LSU last time out, and with many likely returning to action, it will help bolster the ranks.
Pick: Arkansas
Vanderbilt vs. #11 Georgia
We all knew going into 2020 that Vanderbilt would be bad, but because the Commodores only get to play against SEC competition, it has been accentuated.
Head coach Derek Mason is gone, and Vanderbilt will now face a team that is significantly more talented at every spot on the roster.
Vandy was shut out by an average Missouri team, and Georgia’s offense should have no trouble continuing its recent success.
Pick: Georgia -35
