Louisville Cardinals (+21) vs SYRACUSE ORANGEMEN (Friday 7 p.m. ET)
This game promises to get ugly fast. Syracuse (-21) opened season with four straight wins but had a bit of a hangover after sustaining back-to-back losses to Clemson and Pittsburgh. They’ve rebounded as of late, easily covering the last two weeks, and Orangemen have things rolling in the dome (5-0 ATS this year). This high-scoring attack has scored at least 37 points in each of the last four games and put up at least 30 points in eight-of-nine games. They’ll easily exceed 50 against this woeful defensive opponent.
Louisville made a mistake hiring VanGorder as defensive coordinator but can’t release him due to an exorbitant contract. And Petrino has to go as well in order to save any hope for the future. Cards crawling to the end of the season, surrendering an average of 59 points per game over the last four games, and the offense has no rhythm with poor line play and ineffective RBs (ground game ranks 119th). Louisville has failed to cover four straight and are 1-8 ATS on season; the misery continues Saturday as Syracuse comfortably covers!
Week 11 College Football Free Picks – Bet Syracuse -21 over Louisville!
Maryland Terrapins (PK) vs INDIANA HOOSIERS (Saturday 12 p.m. ET)
Maryland (PK) has been underwhelming against quality opposition but quite capable against lesser caliber teams, smashing Illinois, Minnesota and Rutgers. They faced difficult circumstances last week following suspended coach’s dismissal but should rally around each other in a very winnable game. Terps need to beat IU for bowl eligibility and have the firepower to do so, with the 26th-ranked rushing attack (221 yards per game). And an opportunistic defense will hold IU’s marginal offense in check -- Maryland ranks 14th nationally against the pass and has 16 interceptions.
Indiana doesn’t run the ball well (78th nationally) and the defense, which allows 162 rushing yards per game (67th), will spend plenty of time on the field. Don’t like how the Hoosiers enter the game, surrendering 38 points in a disappointing setback to Minnesota last week, and IU 2-4 ATS since starting conference play. Not expecting them to finish strong and Maryland will prove to be the better team!

North Carolina Tarheels (+10.0) vs DUKE BLUE DEVILS (Saturday 12 p.m. ET)
The record (1-7 SU) doesn’t indicate it but North Carolina (+10.5) playing improved football since the start of the season, taking Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Virginia and Wake Forest (tied 28-28 with three minutes remaining last week) to the wire in their last four games, and they’ve got enough offense to play this familiar foe close.
Kudos to Duke for an improved season (6-3 SU) but you don’t want to be laying double-digit points with an unreliable favorite: Blue Devils have dropped the last two games in which they were favored and scored 20 or less in three of the last five games. Duke weak against the run, ranking 102nd nationally, and QB Elliott has been shaky with nearly as many interceptions as TDs (8-7). And they haven’t been effective at home for bettors, posting a dismal 2-5-1 ATS mark in last eight home games. The underdog is 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings between these teams and we’ll gladly take the points in what projects to be a close game.
Week 11 College Football Free Picks – Bet North Carolina +10.5 over Duke!
Texas Christian Horned Frogs (+12) vs WEST VIRGINIA MOUNTAINEERS (Saturday 12 p.m. ET)
West Virginia (-12) struggled during the middle of the season but they have the offense headed in the proper direction now, scoring 100 points over the past two weeks. Loved how they pulled out a tight game at Texas last week and with a 7-1 SU record, it’s time to impress pollsters with blowout wins versus overmatched opposition. TCU fits the bill perfectly and Neers figure to score at least 50 on Saturday.
TCU is really down this season and lucky to squeak by last week as Kansas State out-gained their anemic offense (only 275 total yards for TCU) but lost 14-13 due to three turnovers. Horned Frogs were playing two QBs until Robinson went down with injury and Collins is very marginal. A terrible ground game (86th nationally rushing) compounds matters as TCU has scored 17 or less points in four of their last six games; they won’t be able to match points with a prolific offense and Neers have owned this series of late, with WVU going 4-1 ATS in last five meeting. Lay the points!
