Pittsburgh Panthers (+7.5) vs VIRGINIA CAVALIERS (Friday 7:30 p.m. ET)
Virginia (-7.5) didn’t bring lofty expectations into 2018 but has developed into the second-best team in the ACC behind juco transfer QB Bryce Perkins, who came out of nowhere to garner consideration for ACC Offensive Player of the Year. Cavs get after you defensively and love how they’ve improved since the beginning of the season, covering the last three while going 7-1 ATS this season. Pittsburgh has been playing better in recent weeks, sandwiching a narrow loss at Notre Dame between wins over Syracuse and Notre Dame, but they can still be inconsistent especially on the defensive side, holding Notre Dame to 19 points before giving up 45 to Duke. And Pitt in a play-against role this week, posting a 2-5-2 ATS record following a SU win and a 1-8 ATS mark in last nine games as 3+ underdogs versus teams off back-to-back SU and ATS wins. Cavs still have value as witnessed by this number and Virginia will roll to their third consecutive, double-digit win on Saturday.
Week 10 College Football Free Picks – Bet Virginia -7.5 over North Carolina!
Georgia Bulldogs (-9.5) vs KENTUCKY WILDCATS (Saturday 3:30 p.m. ET)
After being a 7-point underdog at Missouri, Kentucky (+9.5) continues to receive no respect from oddsmakers as an enormous home underdog. But the fact remains that this is one of the nation’s top defenses (second nationally allowing only 13 points per game) and can keep Kentucky in any contest that doesn’t include Alabama. They faced one of the most prolific attacks last week (Missouri was averaging 38 points and 500+ yards per game) and allowed only 49 yards and no third-down conversions in second half, forcing eight straight three-and-outs to complete game. And while the offense had been dreadful, Wildcats appeared to turn a corner last week with 294 passing yards as QB Wilson led 81-yard TD drive in final 1:24 of game. WR Bowden (166 yards receiving and 67-yard punt return TD last week) has emerged as a legitimate complement to RB Snell and Kentucky just needs to avoid turnovers to win another big game. Georgia trailed Florida in third quarter last week but benefited greatly from three turnovers and an injury to the Gators’ top CB as they rallied to win going away. But while young and talented, Bulldogs’ defense remains a work in progress as they’ve allowed 170 (Florida) and 275 (LSU) rushing yards in the last two games. And Dogs aren’t going to stop future NFL star Snell, who gained only 67 yards last week and won’t be held down for two weeks in a row against this run defense. Georgia 2-3 ATS in last five games, failing to cover both road tests, and they’re not the same team on either side of the ball as last season. This line is preposterous, with Kentucky’s players feeding upon the complete lack of respect as they’ve won straight up as huge underdogs versus Florida, Mississippi St. and Mizzou, and the motivation has never been greater. I’ll get some action on the money line with Kentucky and grab the points with confidence!

Oklahoma Sooners (-13.5) vs TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS (Saturday 8:00 p.m. ET)
Texas Tech (-13.5) led at halftime but turnovers eventually cost them in a close loss at Iowa St. last week, failing to cover for only the second time in six games, but can bounce back with a strong showing in their biggest home game. Red Raiders’ defense much-improved this year and love the development of QB Bowman and the offense since start of the season; Kingsbury one of the top offensive coaches in college football and Texas Tech will score enough points against an Oklahoma defense many think is suddenly good after firing defensive coordinator two weeks ago. Sooners were allowing nearly 30 points per game against mostly creampuffs (faced Iowa St early in season when they were switching QB) before getting thrashed by Texas, surrendering 48 points and 532 yards of offense, and last two weeks couldn’t be more misleading as they faced woeful offenses of TCU (lost to Kansas last week) and Kansas State (2-5 SU in last seven games). Oklahoma flaunting 7-1 SU record and high national ranking due to ridiculously weak schedule, but the defense is way down this year and will be put to the test Saturday; they shouldn’t be laying nearly two touchdowns at Texas Tech. Sooners 3-4 ATS in last seven games and 2-5 ATS in last seven road games; they’ll likely win but won’t cover.
Week 10 College Football Free Picks – Bet Texas Tech +13.5 over Oklahoma!
Colorado Buffaloes (+4) vs ARIZONA WILDCATS (Saturday 10:30 p.m. ET)
Teams going different directions as Arizona (-4) finally has the offense back on track, scoring 74 combined points in the last two including a 44-15 beatdown of Oregon most recently. Khalil Tate back in the groove and RB Taylor ran wild last week, recording 212 yards and two TDs. Wildcats have covered two straight and three of the last four, and Colorado’s defense has gone downhill fast, allowing doormat Oregon State to pile up 217 yards rushing and 319 passing yards as they coughed up a 31-3 advantage in a home loss last week. Buffaloes 1-2 ATS since their best player, WR Laviska Shenault, went down with an injury and he won’t be 100% this week if he does play (listed as questionable). Colorado won’t be able to match points with pre-season divisional favorite Arizona, who is 6-2 ATS in the last eight home games and can still finish the season strong after dropping five of the first eight games. Look for a convincing win!
