NCAAF Week 12: UCLA vs. Oregon odds, preview, and pick
The Pac-12 season continues this Saturday as the UCLA Bruins (1-1) head to Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR to face the No. 11 Oregon Ducks (2-0). Can UCLA head coach Chip Kelly upset his former program, or will Oregon flaunt its class? We preview this nationally-televised contest (3:00 p.m. ET, ESPN) below.
Oregon lost turnover battle but handled Washington State anyway
The Ducks committed three turnovers in last week’s game with the Washington State Cougars, but they still prevailed 43-29. It was their fourth straight win-and-cover dating back to last season.

Junior running back CJ Verdell is off to a fine start for Oregon, recording consecutive 100-yard rushing games in his first two games of 2020. Dual-threat sophomore signal caller Tyler Slough is completing almost 68 percent of his passes for 9.6 yards per attempt, and has added 166 yards on the ground through two tilts.
UCLA faced an underprepared Cal squad on Sunday
After dropping their season opener in Colorado, the Bruins dropped in class as they beat a Cal Golden Bears team that was ravaged by COVID-19, 34-10, on Sunday afternoon.
"Their D-line hadn’t practiced in two weeks," Kelly told The Los Angeles Times on Monday, "and we felt like we could wear them down because of their lack of depth."
UCLA quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is off to a decent start in his junior year – he’s already accounted for nine touchdowns – but his accuracy through the air (51.5%) could use improvement. Senior tailback Demetric Felton – who tallied 107 yards in last week’s win over the Buffaloes – provides Kelly’s offense with some versatility.
WATCH: @oregonfootball's @coach_cristobal had nothing but high praise for UCLA QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson. UCLA dropped 42 points in a week one vs. CU and 34 points on Sunday in the win over Cal. The Ducks are getting players back from the "undisclosed" list
Tight ends Hunter Kampmoyer and Cam McCormick are expected to join their Oregon teammates on the field for the first time in 2020 on Saturday, along with nose tackle Popo Aumavae.
"Popo provides a presence as a player and as a leader," Ducks defensive coordinator Andy Avalos told The Oregonian. "We’re looking forward to getting him back."
UCLA is trending terribly on the road
The Bruins have won just three of their last 22 games on the road, going 8-13-1 against the spread in that span. They’ve also dropped six in a row at Autzen Stadium, losing by an average of 21.8 points per game. Additionally, UCLA has failed to cover in each of their last nine games following a straight-up win of more than 20 points.
The Ducks are 5-2 against the spread in their last seven conference games, and have covered in four of their last five contests played in Eugene.
Predicted score: Oregon 38, UCLA 20
