NCAAF upset watch: Virginia Tech poised to shock Notre Dame
If college football has taught us anything it's to expect the unexpected. We've examined the Week 10 schedule and have identified three huge upsets that could make bettors a bundle.
Virginia Tech at Notre Dame -17.5, Saturday, 2:30 p.m. ET
Notre Dame will be on high alert this weekend after a devastating blowout loss at Michigan last week. They welcome a hungry Virginia Tech Hokies squad who have turned it around in the last month, winning their last three games impressively. The win streak included two games most people thought they would lose: a win at Miami and a close win against a tough North Carolina team lead by Mack Brown.Fun Fact: Did you know that Clemson and Virginia Tech lead the ACC in all time wins?

We have two teams heading in different directions. Notre Dame’s season is all but over, and no one in South Bend cares about playing in anything less than a New Years Day Bowl. Virginia Tech, however, was written off after being blown out by Duke 45-10, and since then they have become a different team.
Can Notre Dame bounce back in a game that means nothing for their program? Can Virginia Tech stay hot? I am gambling on the latter and the Hokies.

Kansas State (-6) at Kansas, Saturday, 3:30 p.m. ET
Kansas is better this year under Les Miles and our prediction came true last week when Kansas knocked off Texas Tech 37-34. It may not seem like a historic win, but Kansas was about as bad as a Power 5 team could be for a long time. Les Miles came in this year and has totally changed the outlook. We knew this would happen and have scored on Kansas with the points a few times this season. They should have beaten Texas two week ago, and Vegas still gives them no respect being underdogs at home in a blood game vs. Kansas State. The K-State O-Line was feasting again vs Oklahoma

Kansas State had their biggest win since Darren Sproles wore a jersey when they defeated the top 5 Oklahoma Sooners this past weekend. Can the team bounce back after an emotional win to play in perhaps an even more emotional in-state blood game? I am gambling that they cannot, and Kansas keeps their momentum going with another big win.
Utah (-3.5) at Washington, Saturday, 4 p.m. ET
There is no question that Utah has been impressive this season. Their 7-1 record has bolstered the Utes to No. 9 in the Country, and on a collision course with the Oregon Ducks. However, as we examine that record a little more, one thing becomes clear: they lack a big road win. The Utes biggest road game came against USC, and they lost 30-23. Utah has historically been a very good home team, and this is the case again this year. But can they win a big one on the road?To that point, the Washington Huskies also have always been a very good home team, but they have lost two games at home this year. One was a head scratcher against Cal, and the other was a great game against Oregon. I am going to forgive the loss to Oregon. I believe Washington becomes a better team at home and Utah becomes a drastically worse team on the road. Load up on Washington outright.
