Now that the game has been rescheduled and become an FSU home game, the line sits at FSU -6.5. FSU comes into 2019 with one big question mark. Will the offensive line improve from absolutely horrific and historically terrible to mediocre? Or will the problems of 2018 persist into 2019 and prevent an offense full of very talented players from ever reaching its potential.
On the defensive side of the ball, Florida State should be very tough with first-round draft pick Brian Burns the only real loss for that unit. There is a load of talent at all levels, from Marvin Wilson at DT, to Jaiden Lars-Woodbey at LB, to Levonta Taylor and Asante Samuel Jr. at DB.
FSU has made significant upgrades to its offensive line
To try and combat last year’s awful OL play, Head Coach Willie Taggart has three key additions. First is Offensive Coordinator Kendall Briles, who will be expected to scheme easier blocking patterns for his lineman. Second is true freshman offensive guard Dontae Lucas, by all accounts a near immovable object and yet he is still a freshman. The third addition is graduate transfer offensive tackle, Ryan Roberts. Hank Bachmeier will be put to the test
Facing this extremely talented defensive roster will be true freshman Boise State quarterback Hank Bachmeier. In high school, Bachmeier amassed more than 13,000 passing yards and 156 touchdowns during his four-year career. He was an early enrollee and whether he can step right in at the major college level and expand upon his impressive career will be the biggest deciding factor of Boise State’s competitiveness in this contest.Boise State will be starting true freshman QB Hank Bachmeier Saturday and FSU DT Marvin Wilson has one goal:

All things considered, I like FSU to cover the number in this contest. FSU still has lots of blue-chip talent, especially on defense, and it would be quite a surprise for a true freshman QB to come in for his first game and beat this FSU team that now gets to play at home. In what will likely be a low-scoring affair, I like FSU to do enough offensively to get it done.
