#16 Florida Gators -7 at Vanderbilt Commodores Since losing to Kentucky, Florida’s been on a roll. The Gators haven’t allowed any team to score more than 21 points in 3 straight. Not counting an outburst against Tennessee State, Vanderbilt hasn’t scored more than 17 in three of their last four games. Florida covers with a smothering defensive effort.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Florida -7
#21 Oklahoma State Cowboys -7 at Kansas State Wildcats Oklahoma State’s gone 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games versus a team with a losing home record. That's the good part. The downside? Oklahoma State is also 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings with the Wildcats, which means Kansas State has a shot against the spread.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Kansas State +7
Tennessee Volunteers at #21 Auburn Tigers -15.5 Auburn’s a bad spread covering team having gone 2-4 ATS this season. The Tigers’ record ATS includes going 1-3 against the spread at home. The road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings between these two, giving us even more reason to back the Vols, especially with a hefty number.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Tennessee +15.5
Pittsburgh Panthers at #5 Notre Dame Fighting Irish -21 Slightly more college football handicappers favor Pitt at +21 over Notre Dame. The line opened Pittsburgh -21.5 before falling a half a point. Both are signs that the Panthers might keep this closer than the spread, but Notre Dame is 4-2 ATS this season and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win of more than 20 points.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Notre Dame -21
#2 Georgia Bulldogs -7.5 at #12 LSU Tigers From what I’ve seen, Georgia’s defense has slowed. The freshman heavy unit played much faster earlier in the season. In the Bulldogs’ last, Vanderbilt rushed for 138 yards, meaning Georgia defenders didn’t close on the ball that well. LSU’s rushing attack averages 190 yards per, giving them an edge. LSU also steps it up versus SEC opponents, going 8-1 ATS in their last 9.
College Football Week 7 Picks: LSU +7.5
#7 Washington Huskies -3 at #17 Oregon Ducks The line opened Washington -4 before early bettors pounded it down a point. Washington almost never covers against Oregon: 2-11-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings and 1-6-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Oregon. Nothing tells me things should be different this season. Justin Herbert can definitely keep the Ducks flying in this matchup.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Oregon +3
#9 Central Florida Knights -4.5 at Memphis Tigers College football handicappers favor UCF at -4.5 over Memphis by close to 8 to 1. Every trend points to the Knights covering except for these two: the home team is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings and Central Florida is 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Memphis. Those trends impact my decision more than what other handicappers think. Memphis is a capable football team and one that should get some consideration here for a near-upset.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Memphis +4.5
Michigan State Spartans at #8 Penn State Nittany Lions -13.5 Michigan State’s gone 1-4 ATS this season. The Spartans also sell out to stop the rush since they only allow 33.8 yards rushing but allow over 305 yards passing. Penn State should dominate Michigan State through the air. I’m making Penn State ATS my top Picks in College Football Week 7 picks. Trace McSorley can hurt opponents in multiple ways.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Penn State -13.5
#10 Wisconsin Badgers at #13 Michigan Wolverines -7.5 Even though the line’s fallen a half a point, most college football bettors favor Wisconsin at -7.5. The Badgers are 13-3 ATS in their last 16 road games. They’re also 9-1-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. But, Wisconsin’s gone 1-4 ATS this season. Michigan holds opponents to 230.5 yards. I like the Wolverines.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Michigan -7.5
#18 Colorado Buffalo at USC Trojans -7 It’s hard to understand why odds makers favor USC by a touchdown and extra point. Colorado has gone 4-1 ATS on their way to a 5-0 SU record. USC is 1-4 ATS and didn’t play well enough to cover against both Washington State and Arizona. Colorado can win this outright.
College Football Week 7 Picks: Colorado +7
