Big 12 Week 14 picks: Baylor vs. Oklahoma & 3 more
It's finally December, and the Big 12 is rolling toward an exciting finish.
Last week, Iowa State all but clinched its spot in the Big 12 Championship Game with a win over Texas, and Oklahoma State stayed alive with a win over Texas Tech.
Let's get to the action, with all the betting odds and picks you need for Week 14's Big 12 showdowns.
Baylor vs. #11 Oklahoma
The Sooners are in a tie for second place with Oklahoma State, which they defeated two weeks ago for the head-to-head tiebreaker. Oklahoma is on a five-game win streak and is rolling, even though it has only played two games since Halloween, because of COVID-19 complications.
Baylor enters off an upset of Kansas State, which was its first win since September. The Bears are now 2-5 in the Big 12.

When you think of Baylor and Oklahoma meeting in recent years, high-scoring shootouts come to mind. However, these teams have shifted. Last year, only 53 points were scored in their matchup. Both defenses rank in the top 44 in total yards allowed, and Oklahoma ranks 13th in rushing defense, while Baylor is 29th in pass defense.
The Sooners have only allowed 16 points per game over their last four games. Baylor only put up 23 points at Texas Tech in mid-November, and I can see them struggling to put up points against the improved Sooner defense.
I will take the Under with confidence.
Pick: Under 62
West Virginia vs. #9 Iowa State
The Cyclones would clinch the regular-season Big 12 title with a win at home. The Mountaineers need a win over Iowa State and some help to get into the Big 12 Championship Game.
This will be a matchup of the two best defenses in the Big 12 and two of the better defenses in the nation.
MORGANTOWN — In a way, it's sort of been a lot like the way they have tackled this year for the West Virginia University defensive unit. https://t.co/D6jgVbZBe1

West Virginia is ranked 14th in the nation in scoring defense, fourth in passing defense, 22nd in rushing defense, and fifth in total defense. Iowa State ranks 27th in scoring defense, 84th in passing defense, 15th in rushing defense, and 38th in total defense.
Iowa State may be the best team in the Big 12, but it has not dominated any of the top-half Big 12 teams. West Virginia has a couple bad losses, but it has performed well against top competitors.
I like the Mountaineers to keep this one close all the way through.
Pick: West Virginia +6.5
#15 Oklahoma State vs. TCU
The Cowboys are in must-win territory. They have lost two of their last four games and did not look good in two wins against bottom-half Big 12 teams.
The Horned Frogs have won three of their past four and have turned things around offensively. The home team has won six of the eight matchups between these two schools since TCU joined the Big 12.
I like the Horned Frogs to play spoiler in their season finale.
Pick: TCU +2.5
Texas vs. Kansas State
The Longhorns need to win out and need help to get into the Big 12 Championship Game. The Wildcats have completely lost control of their season and have lost four consecutive games.
Texas has won three of its past four matchups with the Wildcats, and Kansas State just looks like it is ready to call 2020 a wrap.
Texas needs this win and will get it, with ease.
Pick: Texas -7
