Big 12 Week 13 picks: Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma State & 2 more
It's Thanksgiving weekend, and the Big 12 is rolling on as we head into Week 13 of the college football season.
Last week, Oklahoma took down Oklahoma State in Bedlam. This week, Oklahoma vs. West Virginia was postponed, and the Cowboys will look to get back on track against another tricky foe.
Let's get to the action with all the betting odds and picks you need for this weekend's biggest Big 12 showdowns.
Texas Tech vs. #21 Oklahoma State
The Red Raiders are 3-5 overall and 2-5 in the Big 12. The Cowboys are 5-2 overall and 4-2 in the Big 12. However, momentum is a major factor, and the Cowboys do not have it. Oklahoma State has lost two of its past three games, and won that other match by just two points. Texas Tech, meanwhile, is coming off a close win against Baylor.
One area where the Cowboys will need to take advantage of the Red Raiders is the run game. The Texas Tech defense allows an average of 179.4 rushing yards per game, and has allowed 19 rushing touchdowns in eight games. The Cowboys average 174.1 rushing yards per game and Chuba Hubbard and LD Brown will be ready to feast.
Chuba Hubbard (@Hubbard_RMN) played great against Texas Tech last season. He should be on everyones Heisman watchlist for 2020. He is a really good all-around runner and the focal point of the Oklahoma State offense. #OKState #GoPokes #OSU #PistolsFiring #NFL #NFLTwitter pic.twitter.com/CnpnG8McK9

Texas Tech has won two consecutive matchups against the Cowboys and has covered in four consecutive games. However, Texas Tech is terrible on the road this season, as they are 0-3 both straight up and against the spread. In the last two seasons, Texas Tech is 2-7 ATS in road games.
I like the Cowboys to control the ground game and get back on track with a big win.
Pick: Oklahoma State -11
Kansas State vs. Baylor
Something has to give in this Big 12 matchup. The Wildcats have lost three consecutive games by a combined 74 points. Meanwhile, the Bears have lost five consecutive games, but only by a combined 35 points.
Both offenses struggle, as Kansas State is 88th in scoring and Baylor is 77th in scoring. In the past three seasons, the Under is 16-7 in Kansas State games when they are an underdog. The Under is 7-0 in Kansas State games when they are coming off a road loss to a conference rival in the past three seasons. This one will likely be an ugly, low-scoring game.
Pick: Under 46.5
TCU vs. Kansas
There may be no team in college football as bad as the Kansas Jayhawks. Out of the 127 schools that have played a college football game this year, Kansas is ranked 125th in points per game and 126th in points allowed per game. They are also 122nd in total yards and 108th in total yards allowed.
TCU has not had a great season, but they have defeated the teams at the bottom of the Big 12 by a combined 26 points. A 24-point spread is large for a team that only averages 24 points per game, but Kansas is just so bad (1-6 ATS) that even a bad offense can put up a large number against them.
Pick: TCU -24
