Big 12 football Week 11 picks: Baylor vs. Texas Tech & TCU vs. West Virginia
The Big 12 only has two games in Week 11 of the college football season. However, neither has been postponed or cancelled, so we are ready to play!
Last week, Oklahoma State got back on track with a big road win at Kansas State. Iowa State, Texas, and Oklahoma also got important wins to stay in the Big 12 hunt.
Let’s look at both games this week, as Baylor heads to Texas Tech and TCU visits West Virginia.
Baylor vs. Texas Tech
The 2020 season has not been fun for the Baylor Bears. They did not get to play any non-conference games, because of COVID-19 cancellations, and they certainly wish they had that experience.
Since they the season with a win over Kansas, the Bears have lost four consecutive games and have no chance at the Big 12 title.
It hasn't been much easier for Texas Tech. The Red Raiders started the season with a narrow victory over an FCS opponent, and then choked late against Texas. Since then, they are a combined 1-4, with a losing margin of 69 points.
Something has to give in this game and one of these teams is going to get a win for morale.
One bright spot for the Bears is quarterback Charlie Brewer. In his three previous games against Texas Tech, he has racked up 1,077 passing yards and 10 total touchdowns. This season, the Red Raiders defense ranks 107th in total yards allowed and 109th in passing yards allowed (301.1 per game).
Let it flyyyyy Charlie Brewer 👀

Baylor has won seven of the past 10 matchups between these teams and the Bears love November games. They are 8-1 against the spread in the month of November over the last three seasons. Baylor is also 8-4 ATS in its last 12 road games.
Texas Tech is 6-11 ATS coming off a loss over the past three seasons. I like the Bears to pull off the road win.
Pick: Baylor ML (-105)
TCU vs. West Virginia
These teams have had middle-of-the-road seasons, with some highs and lows.
The Horned Frogs took down Texas on the road but also have three home losses to Big 12 contenders.
The Mountaineers destroyed Kansas State to end the Wildcats' Big 12 title hopes, but lost their own title chances against Texas last week.
The West Virginia defense is a strong unit. It ranks fourth in passing yards allowed and 20th in rushing yards allowed. Last week, it held Heisman candidate Sam Ehlinger to only 184 yards passing and 39 yards rushing.
The Mountaineers will face a similar quarterback, Max Duggan, this week. Duggan has 1,113 yards through the air and 329 yards on the ground, with 11 combined touchdowns, this year.

West Virginia has covered four consecutive games against TCU. The Mountaineers are also 6-1 ATS in the past three seasons when they are a home favorite. They are also 5-2 ATS in November games.
The West Virginia defense will come through again this week, and the Mountaineers will get an important home win.
Pick: West Virginia -3
