Williams and Daniels were two of six quarterbacks selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, which tied the record set in 1983 for most signal callers taken in the first round in NFL draft history. The other four were UNC's Drake Maye, the No. 3 overall pick of the New England Patriots; Washington's Michael Penix Jr., who was a surprise selection of the Atlanta Falcons at No. 8; Michigan's J.J. McCarthy, the No. 10 overall pick of the Minnesota Vikings; and Oregon's Bo Nix, the Denver Broncos' pick at No. 12.
McCarthy, who won a national title with Michigan last year, is the fourth choice to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, at +800, while Maye is the sixth choice on the odds board, at +1600, and Nix is eighth, at +1600.
Penix (+4000 to win OROY) is expected to back up Falcons offseason acquisition Kirk Cousins, who signed a four-year, $180 million contract with the franchise after six seasons with the Vikings.
Overall on Night 1 of the draft, offense stole the show in Detroit, where a record 23 offensive players were chosen in the first round, including the first 14 picks. The Indianapolis Colts broke the streak when they drafted UCLA edge rusher Laiatu Latu with the No. 15 overall selection.
Aside from Harrison, other skill position players available to back for OROY include LSU receiver Malik Nabers (+900), the New York Giants' No. 6 overall pick; Texas receiver Xavier Worthy (+1600), a new weapon for the two-time defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs; Washington wideout Rome Odunze (+1800), the ninth overall selection of the Bears; and Georgia tight end Brock Bowers (+2500), now with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Defensive Rookie of the Year odds are also up, with Latu the top choice at +650.
