5 Super Bowl props to hit right now
There’s only one football game left in the 2019-20 season. That doesn’t mean you should only make one more bet.
While I’m sure you’ll want some action ATS, Super Bowl props make the biggest event in sports the most entertaining night of television. Sure, the exceptional commercials certainly add value for some, but I’ll show you where there’s real value to make money on randomness in Super Bowl LIV.
First Touchdown: George Kittle (+900)
The beautiful part about prop bets is that they can pop off whenever. Instead of waiting around all night, I like to cash a ticket ASAP. The first touchdown bet is exhilarating. The odds are great and one team has notoriously fallen behind this postseason.
The Kansas City Chiefs have a habit of digging themselves into early holes throughout the playoffs. They fell down 17-7 against the Tennessee Titans a week after they infamously trailed by 24 points to the Houston Texans.
“I decide, if you want to tackle me, you’re going to have to tackle me,” “I’m not going to let you tackle me. I’m going to do everything I can to go through you, go around you, avoid you, anything.” - George Kittle #FBF #49ers pic.twitter.com/ORC2rrrARp

For this pick, it’s wise to roll with a 49er. As for making the pick, Kyle Shanahan is going to throw it more than the eight attempts they made in the NFC Championship Game. George Kittle only caught one pass against the Packers, but he’s the perfect big target to get Jimmy G comfortable in the pocket near the red zone to start the game off on the right foot.
First quarter moneyline: San Francisco (+100)
By subscribing to the notion that the Chiefs are slow starters, it only feels right to roll the dice and pick the Niners to lead after 15 minutes of football. Also, if San Francisco gets the ball first, Kyle Shanahan is liable to start the game with a long, slow 10+ minute scoring drive.
Will the first score be a touchdown?
You can’t really hedge a ‘first touchdown’ bet, unless you bet that the first score of the game will not be a touchdown. At +155, betting against a touchdown will give you some skrilla if the field goal kickers are on the field first.
Sammy Watkins over 48.5 receiving yards (-120)
Folks marvel over Tyreek Hill’s explosiveness but Watkins has been the Chiefs go-to big-play maker as of late. He caught a 60-yard touchdown against Tennessee and a 48-yard reception against Houston, just a half-yard shy of hitting the over with just one catch in each game. Hill’s total is at 75.5 yards, a mark he has yet to hit in the playoffs. Be wise and bet on Watkins.

Tevin Coleman touchdown anytime (+190)
I’m 100% confident one San Francisco running back will score a touchdown in the Super Bowl. The question is how can one get the best bang for their buck. Raheem Mostert (-135) isn’t a bad pick, especially on the heels of a four touchdown performance in the NFC Championship Game.
If you’re feeling froggy, wait until just before kickoff to see if Coleman will be available. The veteran dislocated his shoulder against the Packers after rushing for 105 yards and two touchdowns against the Vikings. He is listed as questionable but early reports remain optimistic.
Throughout the season Shanahan has refused to stick with one running back. Just when you think one is getting into a groove and due for a big game, he switches up the rotation. Matt Breida is skating on thin ice after a late-season fumbling problem reared its ugly head. Coleman has been their go-to in short yardage situations for most of the season. If he’s available, you don’t have to play it safe with Mostert. Bet on Coleman for a chance to almost double your winnings.
