2024 NBA Draft: Odds, draft order, and how to watch
A little over a week after Boston celebrated a record 18th NBA title, the attention has turned to the future of the Association, with the first round of the 2024 draft set for Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
The Atlanta Hawks own the No. 1 overall pick, and a number of scenarios could play out with the top selection of what has been labeled a "down" draft class. Zaccharie Risacher, a 19-year-old small forward from France, is the projected No. 1 overall pick, but some mock drafts forecast fellow Frenchman Alex Sarr as Atlanta's preferred choice at the top. Reed Sheppard, from Kentucky, and UConn stars Donovan Clingan and Stephon Castle are among the college players anticipated as lottery picks, but a number of potential trades could shake things up quite a bit in the first round.
Below YouBet takes a look at the full first-round order for the 2024 NBA Draft, as well as odds, TV schedule, and more.
When is the 2024 NBA Draft
The 2024 NBA Draft will kick off with the first round at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 26, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The second round will begin Thursday, June 27, at 4 p.m. ET at ESPN's Seaport District Studios in New York.
How to watch the 2024 NBA Draft
ABC and ESPN will broadcast the first round, while ESPN is the sole TV provider for the second round. A live stream will be available on ESPN+ and fubo for both days.
Official order of the 2024 NBA Draft
Despite just a 3% chance of securing the top overall pick, the Hawks — who finished with a 36-46 record last season — won the 2024 NBA Draft lottery last month and now sit in the driver's seat in the first round. There is no consensus No. 1 overall pick, and the Hawks could trade away the top spot to a team like the San Antonio Spurs, who may go after French big man Sarr to pair with Victor Wembanyama.

What are the odds on the 2024 NBA Draft?
At Draftkings, Sheppard is the odds-on choice (-190) to be selected third overall by the Houston Rockets, followed by Clingan (+250), Risacher (+1400), Castle (+1500), and G League small forward Matas Buzelis (+2500). You can also bet on the fourth overall pick (Castle is favored at +105 to go to the Spurs), the fifth overall pick, and up through No. 30 overall.
DraftKings is also offering head-to-head player odds on who will be drafted first. For example, Sheppard is favored at -220 to come off the board ahead of Clingan (+165), while Sheppard's former Kentucky teammate Rob Dillingham is a -150 choice to find a team before Serbian pro Nikola Topic (+120), but he's projected to get selected after G League small forward Ron Holland (-125).
Another top storyline to follow in the 2024 NBA Draft is the future of LeBron James' son Bronny, who may land on the same team as his dad, the Los Angeles Lakers, who are likely to take him in the second round with the 55th overall pick. If Bronny is selected by a team on Wednesday or Thursday, it would mark the first time a son has been drafted while their father is still an active NBA player.
